The Never-Ending Summer….

Yesterday, at 4:30pm on the 29th of October an abnormal phenomenal happened. What is that you say? Well, the beach in Portugal was full of people swimming, sun bathing and ordering donut filled balls of sugar called ‘bolas de Berlim’ from the comfort of their beach towels. During the summer these bolas are delivered from a man walking the beach and yelling out and ringing a bell to announce that the donuts are coming to your towel. I was genuinely not expecting these bolas ball donuts to be on the beach at the end of October. But, sure enough the Portuguese baker wants you to eat his donuts and enjoy the sun even in the fall. Here’s to you donut man on the beach!

I was, and still am, completely shocked that this country continues to produce such sunshiny beautiful warm beach ready weekends. The weather last week was warm and while the wind

decided to take a little break and give us all the warmth without the need for a light weight jacket. The weather forecast for the first of the month looks nice with lows only going to 19 and the highs of 26-29C. No wonder so many people are moving to Portugal.

The travel logo for Portugal should be: ‘Portugal: The sun that keeps on giving.’
